About This Call
This 7th annual Art & Craft show will feature artists and makers at this early summer event located in downtown Alden at Depot Park. Centrally located in northern Michigan on Torch Lake, part of the chain of lakes, this art/craft show will feature multiple mediums. This event has been well attended and marks kickoff for summer around Torch Lake with the surrounding towns. Alden has a quaint downtown with an art walk, gift shops and restaurants. This event sits on top of a bluff that you can walk down to the shoreline. Boutique size event allowing for less competition, less crossover booths and more potential opportunities to connect with shoppers.
The event is limited to 75 booths and is open Saturday & Sunday 10am to 5pm. Application fee is $15 with 5 images required and a booth shot required. Early bird pricing offers $50 savings - $250 if paid before April 13, $300 if paid after. Artists may apply in up to 2 categories. Focus is on handmade & artist designed items but the jury will consider unique/creative gift ideas, authors, inventors and designers. Each event is juried separately and emerging artists of all levels are encouraged to apply.
Accepted categories include artist-made work, production/studio work, craft work, inventor creations, designer work, and other innovative concepts. All artist exhibitor tents must be white with no exceptions. Booth spaces are approximately 10' wide by 10' deep with at least 2 feet between booths. Setup is Saturday 6:30am to 9:30am with easy load in and load out next to booth. Categories are capped with no more than 25% jewelry, and vendor amenities include Facebook event page listing, designated unloading area, staff support, and comprehensive marketing and advertising.
