About This Call
This 5th annual, 3-day art and craft fair is held in downtown Alden, Michigan at Depot Park on Torch Lake, which National Geographic has voted as the #3 lake in the world. The event runs Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm, with an optional Monday 10am to 3pm. Over 12,000 attendees participated last year. This boutique show features no more than 100 artist/vendors, with categories capped at no more than 25% jewelry.
Artist amenities include complimentary bottled water daily, coffee and pastries each morning while they last, free vendor parking, and booth sitters available. The show is situated on grass with easy load-in and load-out next to booths. Booth spaces are approximately 10' x 10' with double booths available on a limited basis. All exhibitor tents must be white, and displays must be professional and pleasing to the eye.
Application requirements include 5 images, a required booth shot, and a $25 jury fee. Booth fees are $250 ($300 for corner booths, $500 for double booths). Artists are selected through a review by a panel of qualified experts based on skill and quality of work. Categories include ceramics, fiber, jewelry, painting, photography, sculpture, wood, and others. Setup begins Friday 2pm-7pm and continues Saturday 7am-8:30am, with all vehicles required off the festival footprint by 9am daily.
