Topeka Competition 31

Topeka Competition 31 is a juried exhibition celebrating national artists working in three-dimensional media. The competition is open to artists 18 and over currently living in the United States. Eligible media include clay, metalwork, jewelry, fiber, leather, glass, wood, sculpture, or any combination of the above. Up to four works may be submitted, and work must be no more than 2 years old. Work previously exhibited in the Sabatini Gallery is not eligible.

The entry fee is $35 for up to four works. All entries are processed through CaFÉ.com. Images must be formatted as BASELINE Standard JPEG files with dimensions of 1920 pixels on the longest side, file size under 1.8 MB, and saved in RGB color space (preferably sRGB). Accepted works must arrive prepaid between November 5–18, 2013. Any piece over 150 lbs or exceeding 3' x 8' x 3' dimensions will be accepted only if the artist can install the work during November 18–24, 2013. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance to the gallery; the gallery will pay for return shipping unless the work is delivered. Accepted works may not be removed before the closing date of January 19, 2014.

The exhibition runs December 6, 2013–January 19, 2014. Juror Sarah Perkins will select Juror's Awards totaling $1,000 in cash awards. The Alice C. Sabatini Gallery will name Purchase Awards totaling $1,000, with selected works joining the library's permanent collection. Awards will be announced at the opening reception on Friday, December 6 at 6:30 pm. Notification of acceptance is August 12, 2013.
