About This Call
Tiny But Mighty is a nationally juried exhibition of artworks no larger than 8" in their longest dimension. Artworks can be 2D or 3D in all mediums and styles, including functional and non-functional fine art and fine craft. The exhibition will be held in The Vault, a historical bank vault within d'Art Center that creates an intimate viewing experience. This competitive exhibition will accommodate approximately 25 works and will be curated by d'Art Center Gallery Director Amanda Bradley, with the Best in Show award ($300) selected by a panel of d'Art Center's professional artists and staff members.
The exhibition runs Saturday, October 25th through Saturday, December 6th, 2025, with a dual opening reception on Thursday, October 30th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The exhibition will also be featured digitally on d'Art Center's archive site. Entry deadline is September 7th, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. The $30 entry fee covers 3 submissions; additional submissions are $5 each, with a maximum of 10 works. A $5 media fee applies. Minimum 3 images required; maximum 10 images for submission. Accepted works must arrive by 5 p.m. Saturday, October 18th, 2025. Notifications will be sent by email by 5 p.m. Monday, September 15th, 2025.
Artists are responsible for shipping costs. Works must be shipped to: d'Art Center, ATTN: Amanda Bradley, 740 Boush St., Norfolk, VA 23510. Hand deliveries can be arranged by contacting [email protected]. Artists must provide pre-paid return labels through UPS or FedEx; no packing peanuts are permitted. Works can be picked up starting Tuesday, December 9th during gallery hours (Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Thursdays until 7pm). Gallery commission on sales is 60/40 (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center). Works can also be marked NFS (not for sale). Artist statements must be 555 characters or less.
