Time Zero and Beyond: A Call for Instant Photography

Time Zero and Beyond is a juried open call for instant photography. The exhibition is open to instant photographs of any subject matter in any style or brand, including Polaroid, Fuji INSTAX, Kodak, or Zink prints. Composite, peel apart, or transfer prints are accepted, as are manipulated prints, view camera work, and snapshots. Work printed from Type 55 negatives or reclaimed instant negatives are also welcome. There is no theme or prompt; work can be new or old, but must be your own original creation.

Artists of all levels who are at least 18 years old are eligible to enter. Up to 10 photographs may be submitted. The entry fee is $25 for the first image and $10 for each subsequent image. Current RICPA members receive a 20% discount on all entry fees. Work must be exhibition ready with a maximum size of 48" including the frame. Artists may submit multiple pieces (diptych, triptych, etc.) as one work. The juror is John Reuter, a master photographer and director of 20x24 Studios.

The exhibition runs July 18 through August 9, 2019. A reception and awards ceremony will be held July 18, 2019 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Accepted work must be delivered in-person by July 13th (noon-5:30pm) or shipped to arrive by July 15th. Awards are: First Place $200, Second Place $100, Third Place $50. RICPA retains a 40% commission on works sold (20% for current members). For questions, contact [email protected].
