Time Constraint

Time Constraint is a juried exhibition inviting artists who create artwork within the constraint of time. This includes work done plein air, work created with self-imposed time limits, or work based on the concept of time.

The IU Kokomo Art Gallery is located on the IU Kokomo campus and displays artwork by students, faculty, alumni, and local, regional, and national artists throughout the year. The exhibition is open to all artists over the age of 18 who reside in the United States. All work must be original and completed in the last two years, and must be accurately represented in jpeg images. Video, 2D, and 3D work are all accepted. 2D work must be framed with a secure hanging method; for canvases, sides and staples must be covered. Professional presentation of each piece is required.

Entry fee is $25 per artist, invoiced upon receipt of entry. Entries are made through CAFÉ with files not exceeding 5MB. For 3D works, detail images can be emailed to [email protected]. Notifications to artists will be sent on or before July 27, 2023. Artwork delivery is August 14-17, 2023 during gallery hours. The exhibition runs September 4-21, 2023, with an opening reception on September 4 from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Artwork pick-up is September 25-28, 2023 during gallery hours. Delivery and pick-up are the artist's responsibility; artwork may be personally dropped off or shipped. Any work not picked up 30 days after the exhibition ends becomes the property of the gallery.
