Time - A Journey Through Moments, Memories, and Change

This exhibition invites photographers to submit work exploring the theme of Time in all its forms—whether capturing a single moment that tells a lifetime's story, a scene that evokes nostalgia or contemplation, or an abstract exploration of the passage of days. Submissions may explore Time in any of its complex dimensions: personal, historical, emotional, or conceptual. All genres of photography are welcome, from portraiture to landscape, documentary to experimental, digital to film. AI-generated photographs will not be accepted.

Eligibility is open to all photographers nationwide (USA). Photographers may submit up to 3 images in JPG format at 1600 pixels minimum, 100 dpi. The entry fee is $35 for three images, with a submission deadline of June 28, 2025. Selected artists will be notified by July 9, 2025. If selected, all physical photographs must be received by July 30, 2025. The exhibition runs August 7-31, 2025 at The American Center for Photographers, 230 Goldsboro St. S. Wilson, NC 27893, with an opening reception on August 9, 2025 from 5-7pm. The exhibition will be showcased both in person and online.

Judging will be conducted by renowned photography collector Allen Thomas Jr., who will evaluate submissions based on creativity, originality, technical skill, and relevance to theme. The top three submissions will receive an exhibition at the American Center for Photographers in 2026, with additional recognition possible at the juror's discretion. Accepted images must be matted (not framed), with the longest edge not exceeding 36 inches, and must be available for sale. The gallery retains 35% of sales, with photographers receiving 65%. Shipping is the photographer's responsibility, and all work must include a return shipping label. In-person drop-off is preferred.
