Thursday Night Live Exhibit

Thursday Night Live artists have been invited by the Plano Art Association to stage an exhibit exclusively of their work at the Courtyard Theater Gallery in Plano. The exhibit runs August 2 through August 28, with the theme "Art reflects life. Life reflects art." A special reception will be held on Friday, August 26, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Courtyard Theater Gallery, located at 1509 H Ave, Plano, Texas, 75074.

Artists may submit up to three pieces of work created in Thursday evening sessions, developed further based on those sessions, or any figurative work created elsewhere. No nudes will be featured due to the nature of the municipal venue. All artwork must be framed and prepared for hanging with wire. The work will be juried for award recognition by Michael O'Keefe and Jerry Smith. O'Keefe is an artist working in drawing, painting, and sculpture with an MFA from Southern Methodist University, and operates The O'Keefe Studio Center in Richardson, Texas. Smith is a professor of art at Collin County College and an award-winning artist whose works have been exhibited nationwide.

Entry deadline is July 29. Members of the Plano Art Association pay no entry fee (use coupon code: Thursday). Non-members pay a $15 hanging fee per piece. Artwork drop-off options are July 28 at Thursday Night Live, July 31 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Rail Station Studios (1013 15th Place #101, Plano, 75074), or August 1 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Courtyard Theater Gallery. Artwork pickup is available Monday, August 29 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Courtyard Theater Gallery or Thursday, September 1 at the Plano Art Association.
