"Throwing Salt" Group Art Show — Open Call

Memento Mori Gallery & Tattoo, located in the 40West Arts District, is featuring art inspired by superstitions. The gallery invites lowbrow and macabre artwork. The First Friday opening reception on 9/1/23 from 6-9pm will include music and refreshments.

Local Colorado artists may submit up to 2 pieces of 2D or 3D artwork inspired by superstitions. Each piece requires a $20 entry fee plus a $20 media fee. Artwork must be ready to hang or display physically with hanging hardware already attached; digital artwork will not be displayed unless printed and framed/mounted properly. Photographic work depicting another artist's artwork is not accepted without express permission. All artwork must be for sale, with 40% of sales going to the gallery. This is a drop-off and pick-up only show; no shipping is accepted. Drop-off date is 8/30/23 and pick-up date is 9/27/23. The show runs 9/1/23-9/23/23. Notification of acceptance may occur less than one week before drop-off, and artists must be able to provide ready-to-hang artwork within that timeframe. Artwork cannot be sold outside the gallery during the show duration. By submitting, artists agree to have their work displayed physically and digitally on the gallery website, social media, and marketing materials.
