Through Your Eyes: National Park Service Artists-in-Residence

Through Your Eyes is a series of three online multimedia exhibitions featured on the National Park Service website to highlight the creative outcomes of artists-in-residence experiences.

Eligibility: You must have been an artist-in-residence in a National Park (park, historical site, national monument, lakeshore, or any official NPS site) and created visual art, traditional arts and crafts, writing, or music reflective of your residency experience. You may submit up to three work samples for consideration.

Application Process: Submit up to three work samples, a one-to-two page resume, and artist statement through CAFÉ, an online application system. Only online applications will be considered. There is no application fee. Only the first 150 applications will be considered. Works will be reviewed by an independent jury of art experts and NPS staff and selected based on artistic merit, with consideration given to ensure representation of a broad base of NPS parks and different media. Selected works will be featured in three online multimedia exhibitions on the National Park Service website. A PDF catalogue will be produced of visual art, visual-based traditional arts and crafts, and written pieces. Music pieces will be exclusively featured on the web.
