Through the Lens 2022

Through the Lens is an online photography exhibition open to all artists over the age of 18. All styles of photography, all subjects, and all types of photographic manipulation are eligible.

Submit 3 to 10 digital images via the CaFE application by Monday, August 29, 2022 before 10:59pm Pacific Time. Images must be JPG or JPEG format, 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, and under 5 MB. Entry fees are $35 for 3 entries (non-MSA members) or $30 for 3 entries (MSA members), with $7 for each additional entry up to 10 pieces. Diptychs and triptychs count as one piece. Artwork previously shown in an MSA juried-entry exhibition will not be accepted. No more than 2 works by any one artist will be included in the final juried selection.

The exhibition runs September 15 through November 21, 2022, presented as an online gallery in the MSA Virtual Gallery and as a video version. A virtual ZOOM reception will be held on Sunday, October 2 at 5pm PST. Juror Lance Kuehne will select award winners: First Prize $500, Second Prize $300, Third Prize $100, and up to three non-monetary Honorable Mention awards. Accepted entries will be notified by email on September 8, 2022. Unless artists indicate otherwise, artwork will be available for sale with 100% of proceeds going to the artist.
