About This Call
Atlantic Gallery Juried Exhibition 2024: This is the Future of Non-Objective Art!
Atlantic Gallery, located in the Landmark Arts Building in Chelsea, NYC, invites artists to submit work for this juried exhibition exploring non-objective art. The exhibition runs February 13th – March 2nd, 2024, with an opening reception on February 15th, 5:30pm-8pm. The juror, Suzan Shutan, will award two artists a joint exhibition at Atlantic Gallery at a future date. A PDF catalog of the exhibition will be available.
Artists are invited to submit recent work done in the last five years in 2D or 3D that stretches the boundaries of non-objective art. Acceptable media include mixed media, painting, object making, photography, AI, installation, and a variety of substrates. Work must incorporate aspects of non-objective art and may not exceed 42" in any direction. Figurative, representational, or obvious narrative work will not be considered. No living or odorous materials accepted. Work must be ready to hang/mount/install securely. Entry fee is $35 for up to three works. Artists must submit 1-6 total samples (1-3 images and 0-3 videos). Open to all US and international artists 18 years or older.
Deadline for submissions is December 15th, 2023. Jury review occurs December 15th - January 4th, 2024. Artist notifications for accepted and non-accepted works will be sent January 5th-7th, 2024. Works must be hand-delivered or shipped to arrive February 6th-10th, 2024 (international works must arrive by January 15th). All works must be for sale. Atlantic Gallery will take a 30% commission on any work sold. Artists are responsible for insuring their own pieces. All accepted work must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition. Artwork must be packaged for secure return shipment with appropriate return labeling and prepayment. Hand-delivered work pickup: March 2nd, 5pm-6pm; March 5th-9th, 12-6pm. All artwork to be shipped back the week of March 5th.
