This Is Home

Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, Michigan is accepting submissions for the juried exhibition "This Is Home." US artists working throughout the Great Lakes region are invited to submit original works of art reflecting on the idea of home. The call asks artists to share works that define characteristics, evoke memories, or depict images of home. Open interpretations of home, including connections to place, community, family, and related themes, are acceptable. The exhibition is open to artists working in all media, including painting, drawing, printmaking, fibers, metals, ceramics, sculpture, photography, audio, video, performance, installation, and more.

Eligibility is open to United States residents, 18 years and older, residing in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The entry fee is $35.00. Artists may submit up to 5 works (images, audio, or video files). Image files must be JPEG format, 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, and under 5 MB.

$1000 in prizes will be awarded: First Place $500, Second Place $300, Third Place $200. The exhibition will be on display in Petoskey's Bonfield Gallery from January 15 - March 5, 2022. Submissions are accepted online from October 13 - November 29, 2021. Notification will be sent by Tuesday, December 6, 2021. Artists are responsible for transporting work to and from Crooked Tree Arts Center through shipping or in-person delivery. Work must be delivered between January 3 - 8, 2022, during posted gallery hours. Unsold artwork must be picked up during gallery hours on March 8 - 14, or by appointment.
