This Is America

This Is America is a juried exhibition open to artists of any age within the USA. Artists are invited to submit work that expresses their feelings about America, including paintings, photos, and illustrations. The exhibition will be displayed at Garage at Bitfactory, located at 851 Santa Fe Drive in Denver's historic Arts District, during 4th of July Weekend, coinciding with the city's First Friday Art Walk.

Artists may submit up to 3 original artworks completed between 2010-2019. All 2-D works must be framed or pre-approved alternate presentation. Size limits: final installation size not to exceed 48 inches wide or 48 inches high (including frame). Weight limit: hung works may not exceed 30 lbs. All wall-installed works must hang from standard picture hanging hardware. Entry fee is $35 (non-refundable). Judging is conducted online using JPEG images only. Image requirements: JPEG format, 1200 pixels or greater on longest dimension, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, 5MB maximum file size. Images must be in focus, cropped to feature only the artwork, free of watermarks and time-date stamps.

Successful entries will be selected by juror Topher Straus, an international modern artist. All artist-entrants will be notified of acceptance status by email by June 14, 2019. The exhibition offers a $250 Best of Show Award of Excellence, voted on both at the show and online. All accepted artworks must be available for the show dates. Sales are handled through Reel Dreams with 30% commission to the gallery and 70% to the artist. Artists are responsible for delivery of sold work to buyers and all associated shipping costs. Artists must carry their own insurance for works sent for exhibition beyond Reel Dreams' limited liability coverage.
