About This Call
The Winter Show is a juried all-media exhibition hosted by Palos Verdes Art Center, open only to current members in good standing. The exhibition runs December 2, 2022 - January 7, 2023, with an opening reception on Friday, December 2 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
Juror Dale Youngman brings nearly twenty years of curatorial experience, including major exhibits at the Santa Monica Museum at Bergamot Station, the LA Convention Center, and Stagecoach Country Music and Art Festival. She has served as a judge for the Beverly Hills Art Show eight times and works as an art marketing and communications consultant.
Artists may submit up to 3 pieces of original artwork produced within the last three years. Entry fee is $35 for all submissions. Work must be submitted online via CaFÉ between September 27 and October 21 with no extension of the deadline. Juror selections will be announced by Monday, October 31. Selected artwork must be hand-delivered to the gallery on Friday, November 18 between 9:00 and 11:00 am. Maximum size for 2-dimensional work is 50 x 60 inches including framing (30 pounds maximum). Maximum size for 3-dimensional work is 72 x 36 x 36 inches (150 pounds maximum). All 2-dimensional work should be ready to hang with D-rings, wire, or French cleats. PVAC takes a 25% commission on all sales. Artwork must remain in the exhibition until Monday, January 9 for pick-up. Insurance coverage applies only during the exhibition duration; PVAC carries no earthquake insurance. For questions, contact Scott Andrews at [email protected].
