About This Call
The Winter Show is a juried all-media exhibition hosted by Palos Verdes Art Center, open exclusively to current PVAC members in good standing. The exhibition runs December 6, 2024 – January 4, 2025, with an opening reception on Friday, December 6 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
Artists may submit up to 3 pieces of original artwork. The entry fee is $35 total. Online submissions via CaFÉ are accepted October 15-30, 2024. Juror selections will be announced by November 4, 2024. Selected works must be hand-delivered to the Palos Verdes Art Center Main Gallery on November 22, 2024 between 9:00 and 11:00 am. Art pick-up is Monday, January 6, 2025 from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
For 2-dimensional artwork, the maximum size is 50 x 60 inches including framing, with a weight limit of 30 pounds. For 3-dimensional artwork, the maximum size is 72 x 36 x 36 inches with a weight limit of 150 pounds. All 2-dimensional work should be ready to hang. Frames must be in good condition. PVAC will take a 25% commission on all sales of exhibited artwork. Insurance coverage applies only during the exhibition duration. The juror is Yulia Gasio, a Ukrainian-born artist and Assistant Professor at California State University Long Beach.
