The Winter Palette

Artists are invited to submit original artwork for The Winter Palette exhibit at the Kavanagh Gallery of Fine Line Creative Arts Center, St. Charles, Illinois. The exhibition runs February 17 - March 25, 2022. Winter can be cool and frosty or warm and festive. The work in this all-media show will celebrate the many and varied colors of the winter palette.

Submission Requirements: Up to 3 pieces may be submitted, one image per piece. Images must be of the actual work to be exhibited. Artwork must be original and completed in the last three years. Pieces must not have been shown previously at Fine Line. All pieces must be for sale. An artist statement limited to 1000 characters is required. Entry fee is $35.00. Eligibility is open to artists 18 years or older who reside in the United States.

Jury Decisions: Jurors' selections are based on creativity, quality of artistry, and originality. Notification of jury decisions will be sent via email on or before January 15, 2022. $800 in prizes will be awarded. Artists are responsible for shipping artwork to and from Fine Line Creative Arts Center and must include a return shipping label. Insurance during shipping is the artist's responsibility. Fine Line provides insurance coverage from receipt of work until the show's end, valued at 70% of the sale price. The gallery will charge a 30% sales commission for any artwork sold during the show. Artists have the option to put their work for sale on the Fine Line website during the show. Display Requirements: The Kavanagh Gallery has grey pedestals available. Hanging work should have wire and screw eyes; no saw-tooth hangers or clip frames. Due to the gallery's ceiling structure, artwork cannot be hung from the ceiling. The gallery uses the Walker Display system for wall-hung artwork. Work delivery and check-in is February 12, 2022 (10 am – 5 pm). Work pickup or shipping is March 26, 2022 (10 am – 5 pm). Exhibited work cannot be removed from the gallery until Saturday, March 26, 2022.
