The Wilmington Art Association's 44th Annual Juried Spring Art Show and Sale

The Wilmington Art Association invites current members to submit original artwork for the 44th Annual Juried Spring Art Show and Sale, held April 3-12, 2026 at the Hannah Block Historic Community Arts Center, 120 S. Second Street in Wilmington, NC. The opening reception and awards ceremony takes place Friday, April 3 from 6-8 p.m. The show is open to the public April 4-12, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily (4 p.m. on April 12). A judge walkthrough for participating artists is scheduled Saturday, April 4 from 10-11 a.m.

Artists may submit original two-dimensional work (including photography) or three-dimensional work in up to two categories, with a maximum of two images total. Artwork must be original in conception, composition and implementation, completed after January 1, 2025, and not previously exhibited in WAA shows. No kits, copies, collaborative works, replicas, giclee reproductions, nudity, erotic or violent themes are accepted. 2D and photography work must not exceed 15 lbs and be ready for hanging. 3D work may be ceramic, glass, metal, mixed media, paper, plastic, textile, or wood. Size limits: 50 inches width and height maximum (outside edge of frame). All artwork must be professionally presented with quality frames.

Awards are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each of three categories (2D, 3D, and Photography): $500, $350, and $250 respectively. Additional awards include Honorable Mentions, The Princess's Award, The President's Award, and The People's Choice Award. Entry fee is $40. A 30% commission is taken on all sales. Artwork must be hand-delivered to the CAC on March 31, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. All accepted artists must volunteer for a shift during the show. WAA membership must be active and current by February 15. Registration opens January 5 and closes February 19 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Accepted artists are notified February 26. Binwork registration opens March 1 and closes March 15.
