The Wellspring of 1000 Eyes

The Art Department, Paisley announces a call for entries for The Wellspring of 1000 Eyes, an exhibition celebrating one year in their new home at 9-11 Causeyside Street, Paisley PA1 1UW. The exhibition will feature painted glass, stained glass, and mixed media work designed to hang in the building's windows. The show opens on 2nd April and runs until 30th May 2026.

The call welcomes entries in stained glass, painted glass, textiles, prints, sculpture, mixed media, ceramics, installation, digital, film, and video. Artists may submit a maximum of six artworks. The closing date for entries is 7th March 2026. There is no hanging fee. The project is supported by Renfrewshire Council's Culture, Heritage & Events Fund. Artists will be notified on 10th March approximately, with hand-in of artwork scheduled for 16-21 March 2026. Exhibition opening hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10am-4pm. Hand-back of work is 1-6th June 2026.

The majority of work submitted is expected to be for sale. Sales proceeds benefit the charity and contribute to organisation, hanging, and marketing costs. The sales commission is 30% with VAT at 20% on the sales commission element only. Remittance to artists will be by 30th June 2026.
