About This Call
The US Show celebrates immigrant artists and actively makes space for diversity. All artists born abroad who now call the United States home are welcome to apply.
Entry fee is $25.00. Applicants must submit 1-3 images of original artwork completed within the last two years. Artwork cannot have been previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts. All 2-D and 3-D works must be ready to hang with wire installed (no sawtooth hangers). All artwork must be for sale. Accepted artwork that differs significantly from the submitted image will be disqualified. No accepted entry may be withdrawn or sold outside of the exhibition prior to the closing date. Size limitations: artwork must be able to enter through doors with clearance of 94"h x 91"w, and ceilings in the gallery are 10 feet high. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
Exhibition dates: November 15, 2019 – December 28, 2019. Artist notification: October 17, 2019. Shipping deadline: November 9, 2019. Hand delivery: November 10-11, 10am-3pm. Opening reception: November 16, 2019, 5pm-8pm. Closing reception: December 21, 2019, 5pm-8pm. Unsold work pickup: December 29-30, 10am-3pm. Blue Line Arts handles all sales transactions. Gallery sales commission is 50% for non-members or 60% for current Artist Members. The artist agrees that the submitted price will be the final sale price and may not change. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and should provide a prepaid label from FedEx or UPS for return of artwork. Guest juror: Alesha Colberg Martinez, with nearly 20 years of experience in galleries and museums, including exhibitions management at institutions worldwide.
