About This Call
Tubac Center of the Arts presents "The Unknown Nature of Being," a national juried exhibition exploring the connectedness of all living things from macro to micro perspectives. Artists are encouraged to imagine how humans are connected to all life and how our choices impact others and the world. Creative approaches are welcome, whether representational or abstract. All media except video are eligible. Work must have been completed within the last 24 months and cannot have been previously displayed at TCA. All work must be the original creation of the artist.
Artists may enter up to three 2D or 3D artworks. The entry fee is $35 for the first entry and $3 for each additional entry. Work samples should include 1-3 images. The exhibition runs Friday, April 8 – May 29, 2022. Jury notifications will be sent the week of March 14, 2022. Shipped artwork is due April 1, 2022; hand-delivered artwork is due April 4, 2022. The opening reception and awards announcement is Friday, April 8, 2022. Artwork must be picked up by Monday, May 30, 2022. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA and must provide a prepaid shipping label for return of unsold work.
Juror Josh Goldberg will select awards during the opening reception: Best of Show ($600), Award of Excellence ($400), Award of Merit ($300), Juror's Award ($200), and Honorable Mention ($100, two awards). All artwork must arrive ready to professionally display or hang. If framed, work must be suitably matted in white, black, or neutral colors, simply framed, and firmly wired with no sawtooth hangers. All work must be for sale; TCA retains a 40% commission. Artists must be 18 years old or older and living in the United States. Contact TCA at 520-398-2371 or [email protected] for questions or special arrangements.
