About This Call
Open to US residents at least 18 years old. Juror Eric Aho is a renowned abstract landscape painter whose work appears in major collections nationwide and internationally, including the Fine Art Museum in San Francisco and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
Works submitted must be original paintings in any medium. Maximum dimensions: 40" width, 60" height, 4" thickness. Diptychs and triptychs are accepted if total dimensions are within limits. Sculpture, prints, and digital works are not eligible. Accepted works must be framed or have finished edges and be wired and ready for hanging. Works that differ substantially from digital submissions may be rejected at the juror's discretion.
Entry fee: $30. Winners will show their work in a group exhibition July 23-August 20, 2016, with an opening reception July 23, 4-7pm. Three finalists will be chosen to have a three-person show in April 2017. All work must be for sale; proceeds are split 65% artist, 35% Washington Art Association. Artists are responsible for shipping and insuring all work to and from Washington, CT. Accepted works will be received between July 5-9, 2016. Finalists will be announced July 23, 2016.
