About This Call
The Spirit of a Femininomenon is an exhibition celebrating feminine expression in all forms. Artists are invited to submit work that brings women's diverse experiences and challenges to life and celebrates sisterhood. The project welcomes transgender and queer perspectives, including work exploring drag queens, nonbinary folks, or any topic that inspires, empowers, and sparks conversation about femininity.
The exhibition will be installed across Monmouth University in March 2025 in honor of Women's History Month, running through March 2026 (exact installation dates TBD). Selected works will be printed, framed, and hung throughout the university's halls with artist names and piece descriptions displayed alongside the work.
Submissions must be digital with images at 24" x 36", minimum 300 DPI (7200 x 10800 pixels), in CMYK color mode, submitted as TIFF, PSD, or high-quality JPEG. Each submission must include a title (less than 50 characters) and a description (approximately 500 characters or less) that addresses the prompt and explains how the piece relates to femininity or the experiences of women, drag queens, fem presenting, or transgender and nonbinary folks. Applicants must be 18 years or older and enrolled in a college or university. The submission deadline is February 4, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
