About This Call
The Southern Printmaking Biennale was established by Michael Marling de Cuellar in 2002 with the mission of providing University of North Georgia students with dynamic educational stimuli and professional exhibition opportunities for serious artists working in printmaking. This is the tenth exhibit and will conclude the Southern Printmaking Biennale International in 2022. A retrospective exhibition of all award winners from the previous twenty years will be exhibited in Fall 2024.
This exhibition is open to all artists 18 years and older working in any traditional or non-traditional hand-pulled printmaking media. All fine art printmaking techniques, 2D or 3D, are eligible, including woodcut, relief, intaglio, lithography, screen-print, monotype, collagraph, book arts, and original digital media. All prints must be hand-pulled and generated using at least one traditional method. Entry fee is $35.00. Submit 3-5 images of your work.
Entry Deadline: July 18, 2022. Jury Notification: July 25, 2022. Delivery of Artwork: August 15, 2022. Exhibition Dates: August 22 - September 23, 2022. Works will be returned September 25, 2022. Juror: Will Kurunc. Awards include a One Person Exhibition Fall 2023, Campus Visit and Lecture, and inclusion in the 2024 Retrospective Exhibition.
