The Sky Above 2023-24

The Sky Above 2023-24 is a juried art exhibition celebrating the beauty, wonder, and inspiration that the sky holds for artists across the globe. Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme creatively through any 2D or 3D art medium, exploring subjects including atmospheric landscapes, astronomy and celestial bodies, weather phenomena, flying and floating objects, sky and divinity, and future and sci-fi themes.

Selected artworks will be showcased in an online group exhibition from January 20 to March 20, 2024. Submission is free of charge; a USD 35 selection fee applies to selected artists only, with a money-back guarantee until the exhibition opening day. Artists can submit up to 5 artworks, with a maximum of 2 accepted per artist. All visual art categories are accepted, including painting, drawing, photography, digital arts, sculpture, and mixed media. Artworks must be original works created by the entrant, and artists must hold all rights for international presentation and publishing.

Selected artists receive benefits including online exhibition, artwork sales promotion, publication in an exhibition catalogue, digital promotional materials, artwork reviews from visitors, exhibition promotion, analytics reports, potential publication in Artistonish and Observica magazines, a free artist profile page on the Biafarin platform, and a digital certificate. The exhibition has attracted more than 7 million visitors worldwide.
