The Schwa Show 2024

The Schwa Show is a national juried competition recognizing excellence in fine arts and crafts. The exhibition is open to artists in any media and subject matter. Artists must be age 18 and up. All work must have been completed in the past 3 years and never previously exhibited at Emerge Gallery. All pieces must fit through the exterior door (36" x 80"). Work must be available for the entire exhibition. Video entries are accepted, but special equipment must be provided. Work must be ready to hang or will not be eligible.

Artists may submit up to 5 entries. A minimum of 3 entries is required for a $20 fee, with the option to submit 2 additional entries at $5 each. Entries must be submitted digitally through www.callforentry.org (CaFÉ) by 11:59 PM MST on August 15, 2024. Each entry allows for only 1 photo. Jury decisions will be sent via email no later than August 31, 2024.

The exhibition runs October 4-24, 2024, with an opening reception on Friday, October 4, from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. Accepted work must be delivered by September 25-28, 2024. Cash awards include: Best of Show ($1,000), Best of 2D ($500), Best of 3D ($500), and Honorable Mention ($100, 3 awards). Emerge Gallery will provide insurance for accepted work during exhibition dates only and will retain a 30% commission on sales. Work must be picked up by October 26, 2024, or must have a prepaid mailing label for return shipping.
