The Santo Foundation Individual Artist Awards 2018

The Santo Foundation Individual Artist Awards 2018 offers $20,000 in total awards to visual artists. Three artists will be selected to each receive $5,000, and five additional awards of $1,000 each will be granted. The 2018 Distinguished Juror is Laura Copelin, Director & Curator at Ballroom Marfa in Marfa, Texas.

Eligibility is open internationally to graduate school candidates, emerging, mid-career, and mature artists. All mediums of visual art are eligible, including images, audio, video, and performance. The application fee is $40 USD. Applicants must submit exactly 6 files of original work (images as jpg, video/sound as mp3, mp4, wav, mov, or mpg) and a current artist CV/resume (no more than three pages). Video segments should be limited to 3 minutes. Artist statements should not be submitted. Works should ideally be no more than five years old. Image credits or short descriptions may be included for each file.

Applications are submitted online through Call for Entry (CaFÉ). The entry deadline is November 5, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Work samples and application materials are electronically reviewed and rated by the juror. Winning artists will be announced in December 2018 and personally contacted upon selection.
