The Santo Foundation Individual Artist Awards 2017

The Santo Foundation is awarding $20,000 to visual artists. Three artists will be selected to each receive $5,000, and five additional awards of $1,000 each will be given. Funds are to be used at the artist's discretion with no follow-up material required.

Eligibility: Graduate school candidates and emerging, mid-career, and mature artists are eligible. All mediums of visual art are eligible including images, audio, video, and performance. This is an international call and all artists are welcome to apply regardless of country, state, or residency status. Application fee is $40 USD.

Submission requirements: Submit 6 files of original work (minimum and maximum) and a current artist CV/resume (no more than three pages). Work samples should be no more than five years old if possible. Video segments should be limited to 3 minutes. Image credits or short descriptions may be included for each file. The distinguished juror for 2017 is Elyse A. Gonzales, Assistant Director and Curator of Exhibitions at the Art, Design & Architecture Museum, UC Santa Barbara.
