About This Call
The Santo Foundation Individual Artist Awards 2016 offers $20,000 in total awards to visual artists. Three artists will be selected to each receive $5,000, and five additional awards of $1,000 each will be awarded. Funds are to be used at the artist's discretion with no follow-up material required.
This is an international call open to emerging, mid-career, and mature artists, as well as graduate school candidates. All mediums of visual art are eligible, including audio, video, and performance. Artists may submit a minimum and maximum of 6 JPEGs of original work and a current resume. Video segments are limited to 3 minutes. The application fee is $40. Submissions are made online through Call for Entry. The entry deadline is November 7, 2016. Selected artists will be announced in December 2016.
The 2016 Distinguished Juror is Lisa Melandri, Executive Director of the Contemporary Art Museum Saint Louis (www.camstl.org). For questions not related to Call for Entry technical issues, contact The Santo Foundation directly.
