The Power of Pastel

Tucson Pastel Society is hosting The Power of Pastel, a juried webshow running March 9 – July 1, 2026. The submission deadline is February 20, 2026.

Eligibility Requirements: All work must be original pastel paintings completed since January 1, 2023, using dry pastel with at least 80% dry application on the top layer. No oil pastels are permitted. Work cannot have won any award in a national or international open juried pastel show by the submission deadline. Work cannot be exhibited concurrently in any other national or international open juried pastel show. No portion of the artwork or source material may be created or referenced using Artificial Intelligence. Work must be original and from your own reference, not copied from other artists or published materials. Accepted paintings must be identical to the submitted image with no substitutions, modifications, or repairs allowed after submission. Artists must provide original source material upon request. Up to 5 images may be submitted by an individual artist, but a maximum of one painting per artist will be accepted into the exhibit.

Entry Fees: Members pay $45.00 for the first 3 images and $10.00 for each additional image. Non-members pay $55.00 for the first 3 images and $10.00 for each additional image. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the deadline. Submissions must be high-quality JPEG files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should be cropped to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. All artists will receive notification by email when jurying is complete. The artist retains copyright but grants permission to TPS to reproduce the work for marketing and publicity purposes. For questions, contact Becky Neideffer at [email protected].
