The Paseo Project A.I.R. 2020

The Paseo Project provides an opportunity for artists to envision, develop, and execute their work with the community of Taos, New Mexico. The P.P.A.I.R. (Paseo Project Artist in Residence) Program is a project-based residency set within a rural environment steeped in history, art, and culture. Taos is a centuries-old Art Colony and home to Taos Pueblo, UNESCO protected and the oldest continually inhabited community in North America. The Paseo Project brings artists from around the world to both inspire and be inspired.

For 2020, The Paseo Project is seeking submissions from projection, installation, and performance artists. The 3-week residency takes place between April - November 2020. Working closely with the organization and local collaborators, artists will have the opportunity to research, design, and perform their work in the high desert of Northern New Mexico. The P.P.A.I.R. residency includes use of a studio/office space, accommodations (a one-bedroom guesthouse), and a $2,000 stipend. Artists provide all necessary technical equipment they need to carry out their work. A car is necessary as public transportation is limited.

Artists are asked to share, present, or install their work at the culmination of their stay or during the annual PASEO event in the fall. Entry fee: $15.00. Work sample requirements: 3-6 images, 0-3 audio files, 0-3 video files (3-6 total samples). International artists are eligible. Rolling deadline: submit by March 31st to be considered for the first round.
