About This Call
The Next Big Thing 2021 is an exhibition accepting all media and styles, including 2D/3D works, video, film, performance, sound, and installation art. All submissions must be the artist's original work. The exhibition is open to international artists.
Entry fee is $45 for non-members and $35 for members with coupon code. Artists may submit 1-6 work samples (images, audio, or video). The juror is Peter Mays, Executive Director of the Los Angeles Art Association and Gallery 825. Three works will receive Juror's Awards with cash prizes: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $200, and 3rd Place $100.
The exhibition runs October 2 - November 20, 2021. The opening reception is October 2, 2021 from 4 PM - 6 PM, with winners announced at 4:45 PM. Artist notification date is September 7. Artwork drop-off is September 28 from 9 AM - 6 PM. Pick-up day is November 23 from 9 AM - 6:30 PM. The gallery will remain open for the duration of the exhibition unless otherwise mandated by local or state government or if the risk to public safety becomes too great.
