The Mind of an Artist

Sims Contemporary presents "The Mind of an Artist," an online exhibition exploring the intricate and multifaceted nature of creativity. The exhibition believes that the creative process is as important as the final piece. Each artwork presented is a manifestation of an artist's intellectual and emotional engagement with the world. Through a variety of mediums—painting, sculpture, photography, and multimedia—this exhibition seeks to illuminate the connections between an artist's mind and their creations.

This is an opportunity for both emerging and established artists to gain exposure in a global online platform. Your work will be viewed by art enthusiasts and collectors and will be part of a vibrant community of creatives. Submissions are welcome from all corners of the globe.

To participate, submit up to 3 high-resolution images (300dpi, file size under 5 MB) along with an artist statement (150-word limit), CV, email address, phone number, and social media handle(s). All medium types are welcome except video. Works must be for sale. The submission fee is $45. If selected, one to three images will be displayed in the exhibition. You will have the opportunity to be shown on the gallery's Artsy page for an additional fee. Collectors will contact you directly through your email or social media, not through the gallery.

Eligibility: Artists must have at least three years of experience showing their work in public spaces (CV required), the ability to process credit card payments, and the ability to ship artwork to buyers. International submissions are welcome. Event dates: November 1-30, 2024.
