The Mayton January-May 2024 Exhibition

This is a curated exhibition at the Mayton Inn running from January 8 to May 13, 2024. All members of the Fine Arts League of Cary are eligible to submit up to three pieces of original 2D artwork in any medium. Works accepted must be available for sale. If a work sells during the show, it will be replaced with a piece from the waitlist.

Submission fee is $15 per artist. Submissions must include 1-3 images and are made through the CaFE website. Artwork must meet specific requirements: minimum size 10" x 10" without frame, maximum 54" on any single side including frame. Work on paper must be matted and framed. Canvas work may be unframed if edges are painted as an integral part of the composition, or must be gallery wrapped at 1.5" deep or more. Alternative professional presentation options such as float framing, rod and wire, or stretcher mounting are considered, with an additional photo required for non-traditional framing. Proper hanging wire must be used (not plastic-coated or fine wire), connected one-third down the back of the work. Sawtooth hangers are not permitted. All work must be clean, dry, and ready to hang. Artwork must be labeled on the back with title, price, and artist contact information.

Ineligible work includes art reproductions, giclees, prints, artwork created in instructional settings or classes, copies, mechanical reproductions, molds, and kit work. Artists retain copyright but agree to FALC's use of images for publicity and archival purposes. Art not picked up on time becomes the property of FALC.
