About This Call
The Magnificent Mile Art Festival showcases the original art of 60 artists in the plaza and sidewalks of 875 North Michigan Avenue (previously known as the Hancock Building) in this free to the public arts event. The event is hosted by 875 North Michigan Avenue and The Magnificent Mile Association. Michigan Avenue, also called "The Magnificent Mile" is Chicago's world renowned upscale shopping area playing host to world class luxury stores, boutiques, residences and offices. Area residents have an average household net worth of over $790,000 and 38% of the residents have graduate degrees or higher.
This urban show features artist sales where artists keep all their sales income, with Amdur Productions staff present on site throughout the entire festival to assist artists from load in to load out. Load-in occurs Friday evening and Saturday morning, with artists able to drive up to a curb lane near the plaza and unload their vehicle. Equipment rentals including tent, tent weights, tables and chairs are available for rent with fees applying. The festival includes overnight security and a large multi-layered marketing plan with digital and print advertisements, radio, posters, street banners, social media, and direct mail postcards.
Spaces are 11' wide by 10' deep for $975 (includes permit fee) or 20' wide by 10' deep for $1,925 (includes permit fee). All artwork must be original, created by the accepted artist, and made in the country the artist resides in. White tents are required and all tables must be skirted to the ground. Applications require 5 images and a booth shot, with an application fee of $975. The application deadline is January 16, 2026, with notifications on February 16, 2026.
