The Leica Mystique: International Photography Competition

The Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts is offering an international exhibition exclusively for Leica shooters worldwide. This juried competition invites photographers to capture "the Leica Look"—that distinctive quality which sets Leica images apart, whether through bokeh, micro contrast, lens quality, or the characteristics of shooting wide open. Artists may submit photographs shot with any Leica camera (film or digital) on any theme or subject of their choosing.

Artists of all levels who are at least 18 years old are eligible to enter. Submit 1-6 photographs; the entry fee is $45 for the first image and $10 for each additional image. Current RICPA members receive a 20% discount. Work must be original, exhibition-ready, and no larger than 36" including the frame. Awards include $150 each for Best Color Photo, Best B&W Photo, and Most Creative Image. The exhibition runs June 16 – July 15, 2022, at the RICPA Gallery, 118 N. Main St., Providence, RI. Results will be posted April 30th. Accepted work must be delivered by June 11th (in-person or shipped). A reception and awards ceremony will be held June 16th, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. The exhibition will be juried by Eileen McCarney Muldoon and Olaf Willoughby.
