About This Call
The Intergalactic Open is an open call to all themes, mediums, and artists from all locations. ShockBoxx Gallery in Hermosa Beach is seeking working artists for an upcoming group exhibition at the beginning of 2020. Top artist submissions will win cash prizes and award certificates, as well as featured wall space in the exhibition.
Artworks will be judged based on creativity, originality, quality of work, composition, and overall artistic ability. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three pieces selected by the jury: Mike Collins (ShockBoxx gallery owner), Scott Meskill, Preston M. Smith, Sarah Svetlana, and Kymm Swank. The competition will be featured on Artsy.
Entry fee is $25 for a single entry of one image, or up to five images at $5 per additional image. Video and audio uploads are also available. Work samples may include 1-8 images, 0-5 audio files, and 0-5 video files (maximum 8 total samples). Competition winners will be announced in early January via email. If selected for the gallery exhibition, details for sending/delivering work will be provided via email for the show in late January/early February 2020. Winners will be published on the PMS Artwork Past Competition Winners site.
