About This Call
Artists worldwide are invited to submit work that is exciting, inspiring and memorable. This exhibit will be hung in the Great Hall, Blue Room and Vault of the Main Building. All media will be considered except film. The show runs from January 29 to March 8, 2020, with a reception on Friday, January 31 from 5-7pm.
Entry fee is $20 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 20 total submissions. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance. This call is open to artists worldwide, both amateur and professional. Work that is copied or done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible. Artists must submit only work that will be available at the time of the exhibit and will remain for its entirety. If work does not fully reflect what is represented in the JPEG, the Cultural Center reserves the right to eliminate it from the exhibition.
Framed work must be fitted firmly in frame with wire for hanging with no loose glass over mats. Gallery wrapped canvases are permitted. Poorly presented work will not be hung. Work may not exceed 320 square inches. Shipping, return shipping and handling fees are the responsibility of the artist. All artwork must arrive by Monday, January 27, 2020, and no sooner than Monday, January 20, 2020. Work being shipped back will be during the week of March 9-13, 2020. Notification of acceptance will be sent by email by Friday, January 17, 2020. The award for Best in Show is $250. Members of the Cultural Center are charged a 30% commission on all sales, non-members a 40% commission. All images must be submitted in JPEG format, no smaller than 1920 pixels on the longest side at 72 dpi, with a maximum file size of 5 mb.
