About This Call
This is a call for art from women who have experienced missed diagnosis, misdiagnosis, and/or late diagnosis and disproportionate delays in receiving adequate healthcare. The exhibition explores the emotional burden, psychological distress, and anxiety that comes from a period of waiting, which can also manifest in a variety of physical symptoms and deterioration in physical health.
Eligibility is open to women nationally. Artists may remain anonymous or use a pseudonym. Accepted categories include Craft/Traditional Arts, Photography, Drawing, Film/Video/New Media, Mixed-Media/Multi-Discipline, Painting, and Sculpture.
Submission deadline: February 7, 2026. Entry fee: £35 per selected artwork for the main space. Exhibition dates: March 6, 2026 - April 4, 2026. Location: Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom.
