About This Call
The HeART of Resilience is an exhibition presented by Flaunt Flat Revolution and hosted by Art on Main in Dallas, Texas. This call invites artists to submit works that visually narrate the transformative journey of breast cancer survivors as they reclaim their bodies and identities after surgery. The exhibition seeks works in painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, sculpture, and ceramics that celebrate empowerment, healing, and resilience.
Artists of all backgrounds are welcome to interpret themes of resilience, transformation, and self-acceptance, whether or not they have personal experience with breast cancer. Suggested themes include: the power of free will and bodily autonomy, reshaping attractiveness and challenging conventional standards, the journey of transformation and healing, confidence and self-love, and symbols of strength and resilience. The exhibition will run from October 21 to November 8, 2025, with an opening reception on October 25 and closing reception on November 7.
Submission Requirements: Artists must be 18 years or older and may submit up to three works. Entry fee is $20 for two submissions and $5 for an additional submission. All submissions must be made online via the CaFE Call for Entry platform. Two-dimensional works cannot exceed 48" in height or 40" in width (including frame) and must be framed or on gallery-wrapped canvas with hangers or wire for hanging. Three-dimensional works cannot exceed 60" in height, 24" in width, and 24" in depth, with a maximum weight of 50 lbs per piece. All artists must provide an artist statement describing their inspiration for each work submitted. Art delivery/drop-off is October 17-18, 2025, from 10 am to 5 pm. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and must pick up their work by November 9, 2025.
