The Healing Power of Art: Reflecting Back, Looking Forward

Artists are invited to submit original 3-D artwork in any sculpture or craft medium for this exhibition at the Kavanagh Gallery of Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles, Illinois. The show runs May 17 – June 29, 2019. No paintings, photographs, or other 2-D work will be accepted. The exhibition is open to all artists who reside and work in the United States and must be at least 18 years of age.

Up to 3 pieces may be submitted per artist. Work must be original, completed within the last 3 years, and not previously shown at Fine Line. All pieces must be for sale. The entry fee is $35.00 (non-refundable), payable online or by check. Images must be of the actual work to be exhibited. An artist statement limited to 1000 characters is required and will be displayed during the show. Jury selections are based on creativity, quality of workmanship, and originality. Notification of jury decisions will be sent on or before April 13, 2019.

The gallery will charge a 30% sales commission on any artwork sold. Fine Line is responsible for installation, the opening reception, and sales. Artwork must be shipped by the artist to and from Fine Line Creative Arts Center (37w570 Bolcum Rd, St. Charles, IL 60175). Packed artwork cannot exceed 48" x 32" x 72" and must weigh no more than 50 pounds. The gallery provides 24/7 security and insurance coverage from receipt of work until the end of the show (valued at 70% of sale price). Insurance during shipping is the artist's responsibility. Awards include a $300 Best of Show Award, a $100 People's Choice Award, and 3 non-monetary Awards of Merit.
