The Healing Power of Art in Isolation

Siy Gallery is hosting an online exhibition titled The Healing Power of Art in Isolation. The gallery is seeking art that has been inspired by, or created despite, Covid, quarantine and isolation. Twenty entries will be selected by the Siy Gallery juried team. The public will then vote for the top three on Facebook and Instagram pages. Public voting runs from September 4th through September 6th, with winners announced at 6pm PDT on September 6th. Winning pieces will be featured on the Siy Gallery website from September 8th through November 30th, 2020.

Entry Requirements: Non-refundable entry fee is $30 for non-members or $25 for Siy Gallery members (covers 1-3 entries). Limit three entries per person. Only 2-D artwork accepted, including drawings, paintings, printmaking, photography, digital art, works on paper, and mixed media. No video or film. All artists 17 years or older from all origins are eligible. Entries must be submitted online through CaFE with JPEG images and artist statements.

Prizes: 1st Place $200, 2nd Place $100, 3rd Place $50. All winners receive one year of representation and Siy Gallery membership (worth $100), which includes an artist page with five pieces in the online store, a written interview featured on the blog and social media, and a studio/artistic process video interview. Artwork will be available for purchase with a 50% commission collected on all sales. Siy Gallery will donate 10% of proceeds to Nami of San Mateo.
