About This Call
The Guild of Natural Science Illustrators (GNSI) invites member artists to submit work for the 2014 Member Exhibition at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History in Boulder, Colorado.
Eligibility: Only artists maintaining current GNSI membership are eligible to apply. Artists must be willing to deliver or ship artwork to and pick up from the museum at their own expense. Entry is free. Artworks cannot be on sale.
Submission Requirements: Submit one image per artwork (JPEG format, minimum 1920 px on the long dimension, maximum 3 MB file size). Artists may submit up to two artworks for consideration, each submitted separately. Sample artworks are not sufficient; the actual artwork for consideration must be submitted. All traditional artwork must be original; only digital art can be prints. All two-dimensional artworks must arrive matted, framed with Plexiglas, and wired for hanging (no saw tooth or clip hangers). Smaller 3-D works will be mounted inside a glass display case. Artists juried into the exhibition will receive detailed information and requirements upon notification.
Timeline: Entry deadline is March 1, 2014. Acceptances or regrets will be sent via email by March 14, 2014. Artwork delivery to the museum is April 7–11, 2014.
