The Grandeur of Color (2026)

The MVA Gallery (Modern Visual Arts) invites artists, photographers, and sculptors of all levels to submit original artwork to this exhibition. This is a national open call with no restrictions on subject matter or style. The exhibition theme explores color as a powerful influence on human perception, emotion, and behavior. Artists are invited to show their personal interpretations and visions—realistic or imaginary, representational or abstract. Accepted mediums include painting, watercolor, printmaking, mixed media, digital, pastel, encaustic, sculpture, fiber, drawing, and photography.

The MVA Gallery is located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, part of the third largest metropolitan area in the state. The city attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually and is located one hour from New York City. Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 images, with additional images available for $5.00 each up to a maximum of 9 images. All submissions must be made through CAFE (CallForEntry) at https://www.callforentry.org. Images must be JPEG format, under 5 MB, with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Artists should include title, medium, size, price, and year of completion with their submission.

Artwork specifications: Maximum 48 inches (framed) on the longest side and not exceeding 45 lbs. Sculpture should not exceed 28 inches on any dimension. All artwork must be equipped with stretched wire attached to the back for installation. Photographs should be framed (48 inches maximum) with black or white frames preferred. Entry deadline is November 9, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notification to artists will be sent by email on or about November 18, 2025. Exhibition dates are February 25, 2026 through March 25, 2026. Accepted artwork must arrive at the gallery no later than February 20, 2026. Awards include an "Art of Distinction" Award, an annual Grand Prize offering a New York City exhibition opportunity, and an optional Director's Choice Award of $200. For sales, artists receive 70% of the final sale price and the gallery receives 30%.
