The Grandeur of Color (2025)

The MVA Gallery (Modern Visual Arts) invites artists, photographers, and sculptors of all levels to submit original artwork to this exhibition. This is a national open call with no restrictions on subject matter or style. The theme explores color as a powerful influence on human perception, emotion, and behavior. Artists are invited to show their interpretations and personal visions—realistic or imaginary, representational or abstract. Accepted mediums include painting, watercolor, printmaking, mixed media, digital, pastel, encaustic, sculpture, fiber, drawing, and photography.

The MVA Gallery is located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, part of the third largest metropolitan area in the state. The city attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually and is located one hour from New York City. Submission is exclusively through CAFE (CallForEntry) at https://www.callforentry.org. Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 images, with additional images available for $5.00 each up to a maximum of 9 images. All images must be JPEG format, under 5 MB, with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Artists must provide title, medium, size, price, and year of completion for each work.

Artwork specifications require professional finishing and secure installation with stretched wire attached to the back. Maximum dimensions are 48 inches (framed) on the longest side and 45 lbs for paintings and photographs; sculptures should not exceed 24 inches on any dimension. Notification of acceptance will be sent on or about March 27, 2025. Accepted artwork must arrive by June 2, 2025. The exhibition runs June 6, 2025 through July 3, 2025. Awards include an "Art of Distinction" Award, an annual Grand Prize offering a New York City exhibition opportunity, and a Director's Choice Award of $200. For sales, artists receive 70% of the final sale price and the gallery receives 30%. Artists retain all rights to their work and are responsible for all shipping and insurance costs.
