The Four Elements -- Earth, Wind, Fire, Water

The MVA Gallery (Modern Visual Arts) invites artists and photographers of all levels to submit original 2D artwork to this exhibition. The theme explores the Four Elements -- Earth, Wind, Fire, Water -- and their influence on science, philosophy, religion, and medicine. Artists are encouraged to explore this theme on a practical, symbolic, spiritual, psychological, or aesthetic level through any style and subject matter. Accepted mediums include painting, watercolor, printmaking, mixed media, digital, pastel, encaustic, fiber, drawing, and photography.

The MVA Gallery is located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in the third largest metropolitan area in the state. The exhibition runs November 4-29, 2022. Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 images, with additional images at $5.00 each up to 9 maximum. All images must be submitted as JPEG files under 5 MB with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Artwork must be 2D only, professionally finished, equipped with stretched wire for hanging, and not larger than 48 inches (framed) on the longest side or weighing more than 45 lbs. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. A prepaid return shipping label must be enclosed with submitted artwork.

Artists will be notified of acceptance by October 6, 2022. Accepted artwork must arrive at the gallery by October 31, 2022. Awards include First Prize $450, Second Prize $250, and Third Prize $100. One artist selected from all accepted works during the calendar year will receive an exhibition opportunity in New York City. For sales, artists receive 70% of the final sale price and the gallery receives 30%. All artwork must remain in the gallery for the full duration of the exhibition.
