About This Call
The Figure Adorned is a juried group exhibition seeking outstanding examples of contemporary fiber and textile-based artwork that engages with the human form and the marks, symbols, and ways we adorn it. From textile portraits and three-dimensional figures to sculptural accessories, purses, scarves, jewelry, and other objects of adornment, submissions are invited that consider the body as subject, surface, or site of storytelling. Both literal and abstract interpretations are welcome.
William Scofield Gallery is dedicated to presenting fiber and textile artwork in the context of fine art. The juried show welcomes submissions in weaving, embroidery, quilting, basketry, fiber sculpture, mixed media, and other textile-based forms. Selected works will be exhibited in the gallery and made available for sale on commission, offering artists the opportunity to connect with collectors, curators, and the growing community of fiber art enthusiasts. Exceptional submissions may also be considered for future solo or featured artist exhibitions.
Artists may submit up to 3 works. Entry fee is $25 (non-refundable except for withdrawals requested before jurying begins, with a $5 admin fee deducted). An early bird discount of $5 is available for entries submitted by October 12, 2025 (Coupon Code: OCT2025). Local artists in the greater Vancouver/Portland metro area may request a discount code by emailing the gallery. Work must be original, created by the submitting artist, and completed within the last five years. Wall-hung work must not exceed 72" H x 48" W x 6" D; 3D work must not exceed 60" H x 24" W x 24" D. All work must be ready to hang or display and available for sale. The gallery retains a commission on all sales. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from the gallery, including any customs fees or international documentation. Exhibition dates: 11/14/25 - 1/4/26.
