About This Call
NEW THIS YEAR! We're adding a second Magnificent Mile Art Festival this fall! The Magnificent Mile Art Festival showcases the original art of 60 artists in the plaza and sidewalks of 875 North Michigan Avenue (previously known as the Hancock Building) in this free to the public arts event. The event is hosted by 875 North Michigan Avenue and The Magnificent Mile Association.
Michigan Avenue, also called "The Magnificent Mile" is Chicago's world renowned upscale shopping area playing host to world class luxury stores, boutiques, residences and offices. Area residents have an average household net worth of over $790,000 and 38% of the residents have graduate degrees or higher. The combination of wealth, education, and lots of foot and vehicular traffic makes this location a great place to show and sell your art.
Application fee is $975. Artists keep all their sales income from the show. Spaces are 11' wide by 10' deep and work must be contained within the assigned space. White tents are required and all tables must be skirted to the ground. Load-in is Friday evening and Saturday morning with artists able to drive up to a curb lane near the plaza. Equipment rentals including tent, tent weights, tables and chairs are available for additional fees. The festival includes overnight security, staff support throughout the event, and a comprehensive marketing plan with digital and print advertisements, radio, posters, street banners, social media, and direct mail postcards.
