The Eighth Biannual Exhibition

Angad Arts Hotel invites submissions for artwork from the Greater Saint Louis region and surrounding 200-mile radius for The Eighth Biannual Exhibition. Open to individuals living in the St. Louis, Missouri region and surrounding 200-mile radius (Chicago, IL and Kansas City, MO are not eligible). There is no theme for this submission process. Each entry provides an opportunity for three works to be selected.

Submissions may include drawing, painting, graphic design, photography, printmaking, glass, assemblage, collage, written word, fiber, sculpture, or video media. Final pieces must be professionally framed and/or ready for display. Submissions must include final dimensions with framing. A special installation opportunity is available for textile artists featuring a large textile piece with fixed height of 110 inches and width varying from 60 to 300 inches. Sculpture must be viewable on a wall protruding no more than six inches with professional hanging hardware included. Video media will be viewed on a TV in the express elevators.

Entry fee is $35 (free entry until March 17th, 2023). Completed proposals must include full name and contact information, social media handles, artist statement, purchase valuation including 40% commission, and high resolution JPEG of artwork with framing preferred. Artwork title, size, weight, media description, and dimensions with frame are required. Optional materials include curriculum vitae and written summary of relevant experience (500 words maximum). Submission deadline is Sunday, March 26th, 2023 at 10:59 p.m. CST. Notification to all entrants will be sent by Friday, March 31st, 2023. Artwork must be delivered no later than Tuesday, April 11th, 2023. Opening reception is Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, with exhibition remaining on display until late October 2023.

Selected artwork will be displayed in prominent public spaces throughout Angad Arts Hotel in the Grand Center Arts District. All artwork on display is available for purchase at www.shop.angadartshotel.com with AAH requiring 40% commission and artist receiving 60% of sale. Artwork will be promoted through AAH's website, social media accounts, and online shop, and included in Grand Center Art District's First Friday artwalks and curator tours. Artist is responsible for delivery to and from the hotel; shipping is the artist's responsibility.
