The Edge of Possible

The Edge of Possible is an annual juried exhibition open to all artists currently living in Northern California. The exhibition runs January 24 – February 28, 2026, with a reception and awards ceremony on Saturday, January 24, 3-5 PM. The juror is Lori Austin of Lori Austin Gallery in Healdsburg and Sonoma. The jurying process is blind, conducted from digital images submitted through callforentry.org. The juror will select seven artists for awards. Notification of acceptance or exclusion will be emailed in the first week of December.

Eligibility is limited to artists currently living in Northern California. All media are accepted except video, crafts, and installation. Artwork must not exceed 5 feet (60 inches) in any direction. Entry fee is $20 per artwork, with a maximum of 4 entries. Application fees are nonrefundable. Submit 1 to 4 JPG images of your work through callforentry.org. The deadline for entry is November 16, 2025, at midnight MDT.

Accepted artwork must be clean, framed, wired, and ready to hang or place on a base, with all materials dry. Each piece must be clearly labeled on the back or bottom with artist name, phone number, email address, title, medium, dimensions, and price or NFS (not for sale). Work can be hand-delivered Sunday, January 18, 5-7 PM or Monday, January 19, 10 AM-2 PM. Work that cannot be hand-delivered must be shipped at the artist's expense in a returnable carton; work not prepaid for return or not shipped in a two-way carton will not be accepted. Unsold work can be picked up Sunday, March 1, 10 AM-2 PM or Monday, March 2, 10 AM-2 PM. Gallery Route One assumes no responsibility for artwork left after pickup dates. Gallery Route One does not provide insurance for artwork during the exhibition or in transit. Artwork is for sale unless marked NFS, with Gallery Route One taking a 45% commission.
